Dr. Lauf and Dr. Meents are dedicated to promoting healthy eyes. They enjoy educating their patients about eye care and helping them achieve their best vision.
Dr. Jeffrey S. Lauf
Optometrist
Dr. Jeffrey Lauf was born and raised in Napoleon. He graduated in 1981 as a member of the State AA Basketball Team. Jeff is married to Julie (Hammon) Lauf, and together they have a wonderful family that includes their children: Ryan and his wife Meghan, Jenna and her husband Chris, and Sara and her husband Will. They are also proud grandparents of eight grandchildren!
Dr. Lauf enjoys watching all sports and is a big fan of The Ohio State University as well as all Cleveland sports teams, including the Browns. He loves outdoor activities, playing with his dog Zoey, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Lauf has been in private practice in Napoleon for 30+ years and enjoys the long-standing relationships he has built with his patients. Dr. Lauf enjoys treating eye diseases and co-managing LASIK and cataract surgeries. Dr. Lauf is accepting patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Dr. Jay R. Meents
Optometrist
Dr. Jay Meents is originally from Findlay, Ohio, and completed his studies at The Ohio State University. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, particularly children. Dr. Meents takes the time to get to know his patients and is dedicated to addressing their unique visual challenges, managing eye emergencies, and treating eye diseases. He and his wife are proud parents of three daughters: Grace, Anna, and Lydia.
In his free time, Dr. Meents enjoys serving others through his church, as well as photography, kayaking, running, and playing the guitar. He is currently accepting new patients on Thursdays and Fridays.
